Italy Destination Wedding Pool Party | Emma Mullins Photography

Carrie and Brandon’s destination wedding weekend in Tuscany ended with a refreshing pool party at Villa Moscheni, their home in Italy this spring.

If you haven’t already, definitely check out their Welcome Party and Wedding Day posts from earlier this week! All three celebrations took place at the villa, an entire weekend turned romantic Tuscan getaway. The day after the wedding, guests were more than ready for some poolside relaxation while taking in the Tuscan sun. And as luck will have it, this was the sunniest day of the weekend! Crystal clear water, golden sunshine, and an afternoon with nowhere to be. It was the grand finale to an eventful week.

Aperol Spritz Pool Party

A hot white and orange color palette was inspired by the afternoon’s specialty cocktail. The warm colors popped against the clear blue sky and rolling Tuscan hills, a prominent view from the villa grounds. The mini disco balls added a fun and playful touch – I absolutely loved seeing these as part of the design! Before long, guests took a dip in the pool, some fully clothed, while others enjoyed the afternoon lounging in the sunshine. Carrie and Brandon were happier than ever, taking in their first day as newlyweds. Meanwhile, Rachael and Colby were not shy about modeling for us as the Aperol Spritz were flowing. My personal favorite photos from this day were captured on 35mm film.

Arrivederci

The Tuscany region has been one of my favorite places to visit since my first trip to Europe in 2007. And believe me, this will not be my last visit! I can’t wait to return to this magical part of the world for the sights, the culture, the food, the people… the endless inspiration. La dolce vita. This entire weekend was a true pleasure to capture and be part of, and would not have been the same without the charm of the Italian countryside. From their Welcome Party to Wedding Day, and this relaxed afternoon by the pool, each day felt uniquely intentional.
