Chicago. My city, my home for the past 19 years. So much has changed since I moved here from Milwaukee in 2007: with the world, in my life, and the city itself. My summer calendar is travel-free this year… a rare but welcome change of pace.
I couldn’t be more thrilled to enjoy everything the city has to offer this season. Watch out: you just may catch me at a festival or two (in between editing wedding galleries, of course!).

TGIF! I cannot believe that 2026 is more than halfway over… and it has already been an eventful year. If you’re new around here, Hello! I’m Emma: owner, manager, and lead photographer of Emma Mullins Photography.
Some fun facts about me:
* I’m a Pisces through and through. BUT I was born on the Aquarius-Pisces cusp, which means that I’m a liiiittle bit psychic.
* I’ve lived in Chicago for almost 20 years, which is not something I planned for. Still no plans to leave this city.
* I was a Theatre Kid for most of my childhood and early adulthood (it’s what originally brought me to Chicago!). I’ve performed in and directed several shows in both Milwaukee and Chicago.
* Storytelling is still a large part of what I do as a photographer. When I decided to pursue wedding photography, I didn’t realize there were so many similarities between directing a stage play and documenting a life event.
We are smack in the middle of our 2026 wedding season and it has been a whirlwind, in the best way. Every year I’m reminded of the honor it is to serve so many happy couples and their families. And every year we get to be part of each couple’s story, documenting once-in-a-lifetime moments and creating memories that will be with them forever.

On the Blog today: Brigid & Ryan’s romantic California wedding in Paso Robles 🙂 The afternoon rain made for the most lush, green landscape… and these two embraced the weather with the biggest smiles.
