Chicago Indian Wedding at Garfield Park Conservatory

Pooja and Matt’s Chicago Indian wedding at Garfield Park Conservatory was a colorful celebration filled with love, laughter, and their favorite people together in one place. After more than a year of planning, we were so excited to see these two finally make it official! Their dreamy Chicago engagement session last year feels like just yesterday.

Garfield Park Conservatory Wedding

Pooja and Matt got ready nearby, and were excited to spend most of their wedding day inside the Garfield Park Conservatory. After their sweet first look in the Fern Room, Nohemi and Alexis explored the space with these two while creating some picturesque and romantic portraits. Shortly after, they were enjoying fresh air outside with the wedding party while the humidity kept the tropical plants alive inside the greenhouse! This crew were still on a high from celebrating at their Sangeet the day before, and all about Matt and Pooja.

Hindu Ceremony

That evening, guests gathered inside the Show House for Pooja and Matt’s colorful Hindu ceremony. They included both Indian traditions and a Bible reading into the ceremony, symbolizing a blending of both of their cultures into one family. One of my favorite things about these two is that they’re always smiling when they’re together, and their wedding ceremony was no exception! Once it was official, they sealed their marriage with a kiss and were just radiating joy.

Dinner, drinks, and dancing followed well into the night, with guests enjoying every moment. One of my favorite moments was their vegan cake cutting from one of my favorite local bakeries, Pie, Pie My Darling! A late-night thunderstorm made this night extra memorable (not pictured!). The newlyweds could not have been happier, spending this dream day with the people who matter most to them. I’m so happy we got to be there to capture it.
