Kate & Mike’s Sunrise Engagement Session at Belmont Harbor
Kate and Mike are getting married in ONE WEEK!! To start the countdown, I’m reminiscing on their sunrise engagement session last spring. This was truly a memorable way to start the day – quiet, meaningful, and with an impromptu shot of Malört! I could not be more excited to celebrate with these two again very soon.
Belmont Harbor Engagement
We started our session at Belmont Harbor, at the exact spot where they got engaged. Kate’s words:
“Mike proposed on October 1st, 2023, a rare beautiful 80 degree and sunny day, at Belmont Harbor – just the two of us! We only have some selfies from the day so can’t wait to get engagement pictures taken there… it’s nice to have an extra special memory to reminisce on every time we go there now!”
These two were naturals, keeping each other close in the early morning light and soaking up the scene. One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is getting to learn more about you two as partners and how you interact. It absolutely helps guide the session – not to mention, gives me ideas for wedding day! Kate and Mike clearly adore the Chicago lakefront… almost as much as they adore each other.
Roscoe Village and the Cats
Our second stop was their apartment, to pay a visit to cats Russell and Cosmo! These fluffy guys were pros in front of the camera, and completely stole the show. After some family photos, we headed out for a neighborhood stroll around Roscoe Village. Mike and Kate held hands and laughed their way down the block as we stopped at a few picturesque locations. Finally, we couldn’t let our session end without a morning Malört on their front steps!
Kate and Mike: Thanks again for having me next spring! Can’t wait for you to make it official next week!!
