Megan & Eli’s Roscoe Village Neighborhood Engagement Session
Megan and Eli’s Roscoe Village engagement session last year was an absolute delight! I always encourage couples to think of places or activities that will help personalized their session, and these two did exactly that. We spent the evening strolling their neighborhood, stopping for photos in the locations that have become part of their story. Which, by the way, began in middle school! It’s true: these two have known each other for many years, and will finally tie the knot here in Chicago next month.
Roscoe Village Engagement Photos
I met these two at their home, capturing a few photos outside their place with the El tracks before heading out for our stroll. The weather could not have been more beautiful – it was the perfect evening to walk the neighborhood! We chatted about our travels, wedding planning, and Chicago life – and these two were all smiles around each other. Thanks to the staff at Four Moon Tavern for letting us take a few photos on the patio! We continued our neighborhood tour after a couple pints, just as the sun began to set.
Scooter’s Frozen Custard
Our final stop was one of our mutual favorite places in Chicago: Scooter’s Frozen Custard. As a Wisconsin girl, I have been a fan of Scooter’s ever since moving to Chicago almost two decades ago. Of course, I am always thrilled when my couples share the same enthusiasm! This is clearly a Happy Place for Eli and Megan – I can’t get over how adorable they are together, even while eating ice cream cones (I mean – frozen custard!).
Megan and Eli: Thank you again for showing me around your neighborhood last fall! I absolutely loved sharing this evening with you both – can’t wait to do it again very soon!!
