Downtown Chicago Library Wedding

At the end of May, I had the pleasure of capturing Sierra and Kyle’s downtown Chicago library wedding. These two chose to tie the knot at The Library at 190 S. LaSalle, one of the most unique wedding venues in Chicago. For Kyle and Sierra, the decision to start their married life here was an easy one! Both of them are avid book lovers (His: The Great Gatsby, Hers: Harry Potter), and The Library could not have been a better fit.

On wedding day, Kyle got ready at their downtown home, while Sierra and her crew were at a hotel nearby. After their first look among the stacks of books (of course!), we headed outside for photos with their stylish wedding party! One of my favorite things about The Library at 190 is its location… some of the most iconic wedding photo locations in the city are only steps away. This crew was full of energy and so clearly excited for the Newlyweds-to-Be!

That evening, Sierra and Kyle were married on the 40th floor of The Library, surrounded by loved ones and sweeping views. Their mutual friend Jimmy did a stellar job officiating the ceremony, personalized from start to finish. Once the knot was tied (literally), guests were ready to celebrate with these two! Champagne and cocktails flowed, and the Newlyweds were in love as ever. I don’t think they can look at each other without smiling!

Reception highlights include an adorable cutting cake, a private dance for Kyle by Sierra and her wedding party, and a PARTY on the dance floor. The high-energy celebration lasted well into the evening!

Champagne, City Lights, and LaSalle Street

Before we said goodbye, Sierra and Kyle stepped outside with me to celebrate, just the two of them. What’s better than popping a bottle of bubbly and dancing in the street with your new spouse?! I’m so happy they were up for these night portraits – it was the perfect way to end the evening 🙂
