Simona & Garrett’s June Elopement at Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool
Simona and Garrett’s Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool elopement in June was the perfect start to our summer season. Nohemi met these two at Lincoln Park’s most secluded location, not long after a midday shower turned the greenery extra lush and romantic. The film photos from this day are some of my absolute favorites, for this reason! If you live in Chicago and have never visited the Lily Pool, definitely make a point to spend some time here next time you’re in the park.

Friends and family gathered that evening to witness Simona and Garrett tie the knot. The intimate ceremony was officiated by a friend in the most peaceful nature setting. As photographers, one thing we appreciate about an overcast summer day is the soft, romantic lighting it can create. Chicago weather gave us a stunning background for the personalized wedding ceremony! Guests were able to feel present during every moment, including some happy tears as Garrett and Simona exchanged vows.
Lincoln Park Wedding Photos
After they said I Do, Nohemi took the newlyweds for a stroll through Lincoln Park! Even though the skyline wasn’t completely visible, the weather allowed for some really unique and artistic newlywed portraits. With the incredibly picturesque scenery at the Lily Pool itself, it was easy to create some dreamy wedding photos for these two. Finally, they headed over to the Honeycomb and Nature Boardwalk area for even more romantic portraits in the park.
