When I first met Kelly and Matt, it was clear we were going to get along. We talked about movies, our obsessions with our own weird/adorable pets (theirs: Greyhounds, mine: cats), and even our similar views on wedding planning. Their rainy engagement session back in May was a blast, and really showed how much they love the Logan Square neighborhood.
For their wedding, Matt and Kelly wished to wed privately in the afternoon at Logan Theatre with their immediate families, and at night throw a giant bash at Logan Auditorium with their favorite soul band The Hemispheres. They even flew in lead singer Todd Hembrook for the event! After the ceremony we were lucky enough to sneak into an empty theatre between shows for some unique newlywed portraits (thanks again for hooking it up, Jen!), but our number one photo destination was local pizza place Boiler Room. This is where Kelly and Matt had their first date, and Kelly knew immediately when they got engaged she wanted to make an appearance in her wedding dress. Shout out to the awesome staff for accommodating us!
Kelly and Matt: thank you again for asking me to be a part of this! You are such a fun couple and your reception was basically the party of a lifetime 🙂 All the best to you both in your future together.
