Amanda and Rob’s downtown Chicago wedding in September was a gorgeous celebration among family and friends. Their engagement lasted over a year and a half, so when the day finally arrived it was highly anticipated by all of us! From their first look at The Rookery Building to their first dance to K-Ci & JoJo, their day was one of the most fun celebrations I’ve ever been a part of.

Some of my favorite details from the day were Amanda’s wedding slippers, hand-sewn by her grandmother (who I’m pretty sure wins the award for Vendors’ Favorite Guest – this woman made jokes that were cracking us up all night!) and also the “Chlo-Rita,” their signature cocktail named after their beloved pooch, Chloe (who, for logistical reasons, could not be present 🙂 ).

The most memorable moment of the evening, however, was when the voice of Rob’s brother Jim came on the speakers for an absentee Best Man speech. Jim was deployed overseas and couldn’t make it back for their wedding day, but that didn’t stop him from being heard! A perfectly executed surprise by Amanda… not one eye was dry (I have the photos to prove it!).

Thanks again for having me, Amanda and Rob!! All the best to you both!
