Lucas and Lizzie’s Joinery Chicago wedding in September was a cozy, intimate event surrounded by their dearest loved ones. When we first started talking about their wedding, they envisioned something casual, laid-back and fun that reflects their personalities. The Joinery was the perfect space for that! Lizzie’s uncle performed the ceremony, a service he’s provided for many family members. Their mutual appreciation for delicious food and drink was apparent with an exclusive craft cocktail (made with Wisconsin’s Death’s Door gin) and Pescatarian-friendly meal from FIG Catering. Instead of wedding cake, they served slices of pie from (my favorite) local bakery Bang Bang Pie. It was the perfect, cozy fall evening 🙂

Lizzie and Lucas met in Milwaukee before moving to Chicago together, and their engagement happened in a really natural, organic way. Something you may recall from their Milwaukee engagement session is that these two just love to laugh!! From their First Look in the courtyard to the their last dance on the floor, I don’t think their smiles faded all day. Shout out to the wedding party for being an equally helpful and entertaining crew! This was such a fun wedding to photograph!
